Annual General Meeting Notice
Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting for 2024-2025 for
Weston District Workers Co-operative Club Limited will be held on Sunday 2nd November 2025 at 3:00pm.
2025 Annual General Meeting Agenda:
- To confirm the Minutes of the 2023/2024 Annual General Meeting.
- President’s Report
- Presentation of Financial Report & Auditors Report
- Secretary’s Report
- To deal with any special business for which due notice has been given
Special Business – Updated Club Rules and Removal of Shares
Special Resolution:
That:
- the conversion of the co-operative from a co-operative with share capital to a co-operative without share capital be approved and the new rules as drafted be adopted, and
- share capital become part of the general reserves of the co-operative.

In accordance with the requirements of the Co-operatives National Law (NSW), members are advised that the following documents relating to the proposed special resolution are available for review:
- The Disclosure Statement and Draft New Rules of the Co-operative
- An Explanatory Fact Sheet
These documents can be accessed:
- On the Club’s website: westonworkers.com.au/2025-agm
- Inside the Club: Hard copies are freely available to be read by members upon request in club.
Members are encouraged to review these documents prior to the Annual General Meeting to assist in understanding the proposed Special Resolution.
Share Capital – Voting Details
- Voting opens: Monday 27 October 2025 at 10:00am.
- Voting closes: Sunday 2 November 2025 at 2:00pm.
- Where: At the Club, with a Returning Officer present.
- Members will receive a voting card and their name will be recorded when they vote
- Votes can also be cast at the AGM on Sunday 2 November 2025 at 3:00pm.
- Important: Each member can only vote once. If you vote early, you may still attend the AGM, but you cannot vote again.
- The resolution requires a three-quarters majority of members voting to pass.
Information Session
The Club is hosting an information session on Sunday 26th October at 4pm for members to attend to access more information about the special business item. We will be joined by Sam Byrne from The Co-op Federation.
